Snagging Survey
Unfortunately, with house targets and penalties against deadlines, some builders on-site often cut corners which results in poor workmanship.
Most of our survey reports have a minimum of 100 snags, being both minor and major defects and it is your right to get these repairs rectified. These should be reported straight away as left and not reported within your new property’s warranty period, could cost you thousands to fix.
It is crucial to hire the right surveyor. However, we appreciate there are many ‘professional snaggers’ to choose from, all quoting to offer the best snagging survey. There are only a handful of reputable snagging companies, as most focus on the minor cosmetic issues where we use the latest specialist tools to survey your home in a methodical approach following NHBC guidelines, providing you reassurance that every inch of your property, both inside and out will not be missed.
Get peace of mind and let our team of independent home snagging experts assess your property.
Everything will be detailed in the report with pictures and if you have any questions on the report, you can come back to us.
Even if you decide not to choose QCBSurveyors, we highly recommend you hire a professional to conduct a snagging survey.
Party Wall Survey
The Party Wall Etc Act 1996 makes provision for dealing with works that are likely to affect Party Walls and has been extended to include excavations within close proximity to neighbouring structures. The Party Wall Etc Act 1996 exists to protect both the building and adjoining owners from potential issues that may arise from the proposed works.
Before works take place, notices must be served, and the Adjoining Owner(s) given time to respond. The response timeframes are set down in the Act, and ‘consent’ cannot be presumed if there is no response to a Notice.
We offer a comprehensive low cost fixed fee service for preparation of party wall awards, which includes undertaking legal searches, preparing bespoke notices for your project, undertaking a schedule of condition and producing a Party Wall Award, for private residential property, offices and shops in the London and surrounding areas. We can act for either or both parties and offer a cost-effective and timely manner of protecting all parties whilst complying fully with the Party Wall Act.
QCBSurveyors can help you avoid or resolve any disputes or disagreements with your neighbours when carrying out renovations, alterations or making structural changes to your home.
We always advise Building Owners to speak to their neighbours before serving the formal notice.
Our work
The KEEP CASH CAMPAIGN
We are offering saving off our service fees, if you pay in cash!
We have joined the national ‘The Keep Cash’ campaign. Since the pandemic, businesses accepting cash has dwindled and cash points continue to close, which is affecting the most vulnerable in society. So, as part of the incentive to keep people using cash, we are offering our customers a saving on our fees when they pay in cash. Also, feel free to sign the petition here.
Payment will need to be made on the day of your snagging inspection and a snagging report will be issued within 48 hours.
